Fund Characteristics

The primary investment focus of the Fund currently is growth stage investments in undertakings with target beneficiaries from 8 low income States of India viz. Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and West Bengal that are:

  • Economically viable
  • Provide access to markets for the poor
  • Socially relevant and impact the poor, as producers/consumers and/or employees
  • Have economic impact and
  • Increase the flow of capital into poorest states etc.

 

Samridhi seeks entrepreneurs with high commitment to socio-economic impact and environmental, social and governance standards. Investments will typically be in growth stage companies undertaking expansions which already have a sound business model or innovative business model or products and technologies which have the potential of achieving considerable scale. Samridhi’s investment will generally range from  ₹5 to 25 crore, and will be structured as equity and convertible instruments to suit the requirements of the Investee company.
